In the Studio
O.K friend's and family, I just completed all my recording sessions for my new CD "The Better Part Of Me" should be released April 15, 2011. This is my first solo project since "Songs From Moon Shadow." This project created a lot of old memories from where these songs came from and the things I was going through as an artist and a writer at that time. I really enjoyed the three months I spent by myself in the studio laying down tracks to these 10 new songs. I look forward to getting copies out to you all and sharing the music. The release of a new album is always exciting and I'm proud to say this is the sixth album now released on the AspengloRecord label.

In The Studio
I spent yesterday afternoon in the studio with my music partner Mike Lachina. As you know Mike has just released his new CD on Aspenglo Records, First Snow / Night Sky.
Believe it or not Mike and I just started work on his next CD Eden's Dawn. Since I will be moving to Southern California in May, Mike and I want to try and squeeze out another CD to be released next year. I was so impressed by the new songs MIke has composed I wanted to get started on this project right away.
We actually laid down tracks to six new songs and we should have this project finished by the the time I have to move. I can't imagine what my life would have been like without having Mike as a friend and music partner for the past 40 years. It has been quite a journey and I thank God for Mike's friend ship.
Just so you all know, thanks to modern technology, Mike and I will be able to continue working on projects together even though I will be 400 miles away.
Another note, my daughter Lacey was in the studio last night laying down vocals to a song I wrote many years ago called It's Only Love. It's a great song that will be added to Lacey's 4 song demo that she hopes to get radio airplay at a local country radio station. I love Lacey's voice, it's easy on the ears , smooth and easy to record. Good job Lace.

In The Studio
Well I am wrapping up the final two songs that will complete my new CD "The Better Part Of Me."
This is an interesting project because it is a collection of mostly older songs that I wrote back in 1994. These songs have always been part of my live act but I never got a chance to record them. There is also a mix of new material that balances out the CD. I hope to have this project completed by May.
Just a note , my music partner and best friend Mike Lachina has just released his first solo CD "First Snow/Night Sky". A beautiful album of piano and keyboard instrumentals. Mike composes beautiful music and I was honored to be able to produce this project, write lyrics for two of the songs he sings on the CD and add it to the Aspenglo Records collection of CD's. My wife Kathy made the move to Southern California to start her new job. I look forward to joining her May first and beginning this new adventure in our lives. I am looking forward to the So-cal beaches, the warmer weather and the whole music scene down there. Also reuniting with my daughter Jennifer and our little angle Abbey and my talented Son-in-Law Erik.
Well that's about it for now. I'll keep you posted as the things progress.
